We Teach and God Blesses

Psalm 127:3 Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him.

Proverbs 14:26 Those who fear the Lord are secure; he will be a refuge for their children.

Early in our marriage, Pastor AJ and I learned that this life we live is not about us. As selfish as we were, I am so thankful that we put our fleshly desires aside for the sake of our children. As important as you may think you are, SURPRISE!, the adversary doesn't even want you, he wants the next generation. He wants your children, he wants those you influence.

Your family and loved ones are a heritage and reward from God. His blessings will be upon your family and His shield will surround them and protect them. As blood bought believers, we are to have confidence, faith, assurance in God, knowing that He is a refuge for our families.

When we walk in integrity, our children will be blessed. We are responsible for teaching our children about God and His ways, not the school, not the world. Even the Sunday School teacher, only has one day a week to teach a child as much as they can, but we have to do our part the rest of the week. We teach and God blesses. We must teach the children that we influence to love God and to love His Word so that God can pour His blessings upon them. Think about your children and/or the children under your influence or in your circle, how can you demonstrate the love of God to them?

This is the day the Lord has made and we choose to rejoice and be glad in it. Thank You God that children are a gift from You, a reward from You. We thank You Lord that Your angels are encamped about our families. The angels of the Lord have charge over us to protect and keep us from danger, harm, and injury of any kind. We thank You that Your Word Lord will be performed in the lives of our children. You God are our refuge and fortress. Thank You Holy Spirit for helping us to be godly role-models,

to faithfully pray for the children and to do our best to mentor and instruct them in the truth and principles of God's Word. In Jesus' Name, Amen!
